Dean Howard

Dean Howard, 77, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015. Dean was a well-known farmer and auctioneer. He was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church. Son of the late Arthur Howard and Essie Sewell Howard and Eva Bright Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sue C. Howard. Dean is survived by his daughters, Carol Dean Howard and husband, Erec Erwin, Linda Sue Howard and Carl Mashburn, Charlene Howard Miller and husband, Pat Miller; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Joyce Bailey of Etowah, Tenn.; and numerous Howard and Sewell cousins. Family will be receiving friends from 4-7 p.m. today, Aug. 2, 2015, at Mashburn Lake, 1018 County Road 50, Athens, Tenn. Funeral service immediately afterwards. Burial at Short Creek Cemetery.
