Rosie Clemons

Rosie Mae Clemons, 93, departed this life July 27, 2015, peacefully at a local healthcare facility. She was born May 25, 1922, to the late Nathaniel Ervin and Mary Sandford. Mrs. Clemons united with New Hope Baptist Church in Limestone County, Ala., where the late Rev. Willie Holden was Pastor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Clemons; and children, Bernice Pickett and Georgia Mae Clemons. Rosie Mae leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ernest, Emanuel, Flora, Roland, Jacob, Estella Clemons and Ernestine Toney, all of Chattanooga; 31 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, in the Chapel. Interment: Highland Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state after noon today. The family will receive friends from 67 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
