Billie Jennings

Billie Duncan Jennings, 87, of Hixson, passed away on Aug. 18, 2015. The daughter of the late Raymond and Ella Duncan and the sister of the late Glenda Haney and Raymond Duncan II spent her formative years in Lebanon, Tenn. She then lived in Nashville with her former husband, Robert F. Jennings, and later Atlanta, where she was the Business Manager with Ivan Allen Company and retired from Capitol Office Supply. Billie then moved to Chattanooga, where she volunteered with Ronald McDonald House, the Tennessee Aquarium and The Dogwood Shop and joined the First Centenary Methodist Church. She spent time with her family and also with Kelsie Beavers, her dear friend until his passing in 2008. Billie is survived by her daughter, Jere Jennings Young (Mike); her son, Bob Jennings (Helen); grandchildren, Kerry Gray, Dustin Young (Amy), MatthewJennings (Missy), Andrew Gray, Jake Gray (Jessica), Willie Emmett (Rosana) and Jennifer Gailey (Glenn); and great-grandchildren: Carlisle, Vivian, Emily, Rachel, Cash, Evan, and Eli. Billie also shared a special bond with her brother-in-law, Harold Haney; nieces, Teri Callicott (Gary) and Tracy Donnan(Tom); and nephew, Butch Haney; as well as her cousin, Polly Prickett.
