Martha Jo Long

Martha Jo Acuff Long passed away on Aug. 26, 2015. She was born in Chattanooga Memorial Park on Aug. 8, 1925, to the late Byrd M. and Agnes Acuff. Jos family was very special to her and she loved reaching out to all she knew. Her earthly family and friends will miss her dearly but find joy and comfort that she is being reunited with her heavenly family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Truman Long; son, Wayne M. Long; brother, Wiley M. (Dub) Acuff; sisters, Byrdie Lee Payne and Ruth Jewell Crozier. Survivors include sons, Clint (Vicky) Long of Nashville, Mark Long of Manchester, Tenn.; daughter, Phyllis Cochran of Maryville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Ila Mae Clark and Melba Jean Kidd; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
