Kenneth Crowe

Kenneth M. Crowe, was called home by the Lord on Dec. 27, 2015, at the age of 75. Mr. Crowe was born and raised in DeKalb County, where he graduated from Valley Head High School, Class of 1958, and was a member of the student board of the TVA. Kenneth later earned his insurance license, LUTCF, and worked as an insurance salesman with American General Life Insurance Company for 39 years. He had many hobbies, including woodworking, gardening and watching Auburn football and Atlanta Braves baseball. A loving "Papa," father, husband and friend, he will be dearly missed. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Pauline; and also by several siblings. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Marcia Crowe; children, Lyndon Crowe (Ann), Allison Braswell (Michael), K.L. "Pete" Crowe (Jackie); grandchildren, Xavier Crowe, Kristen Crowe, Zachary Braswell, Carissa Braswell; chosen children, Shirley Schmitz and family, David Vincent and family; Sister, Delorus Crabtree; special niece and nephew; Letitia and Joe Graham. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Xavier Crowe, Zachary Braswell, David Vincent, Otto Stracener (honorary), Joe Graham, Nicholes Graham, Albert Geringer, Warren Fuhrman, Randy Patty and Royce Chambers. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. CST on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Brother Bob Thornton will officiate the service.
