Lorene Tucker
Lorene Money Tucker, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Known as "Penny" to her family and friends, she was born on Nov. 26, 1923, in Bell Buckle, Tenn. She has lived in Chattanooga with her late husband and family since 1946 and she was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her late husband, Bob Tucker of 70 years and is survived by her four children, Mr. Gary Tucker and his wife, Andy; Mr. Robert J. Tucker and his wife, Sherry; Ms. Amy Tucker and Mr. Richard Tucker and Linda. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Mr. Beau Tucker and his wife Tracey; Mrs. Jacy Tucker Copeland and her husband Jeremy; Mrs. Kami Tucker Edwards and her husband Chris; Mrs. Leah Tucker Sergeant and her husband Scott; Mr. Matthew Tucker, Mrs. Lauren Tucker Zell and her husband Dave and Mrs. Lynsey Tucker Santora. She was also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Penny was a devoted mother and an affectionate grandmother. She enjoyed expressing her love through her cooking and through her storytelling. She had a welcoming heart and a fiery spirit that captivated everyone who knew her. Family was always her priority, especially spending time at the cabin in Gatlinburg, Tenn., with her grandchildren. She will forever be loved and remembered. The Rev. Dwight Henderson will conduct the service at 10 a.m. today, Jan. 20, at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East Mausoleum located at 3621 Shallowford Road.
