Benny Bradford

Benny Joe Bradford, 81, passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, in Fort Oglethorpe. He was born on Oct. 16, 1933 in Dade County, Ga. the son of Walter Alexander Bradford and Lora Kilgore Bradford. He married his loving wife of 60 years, Billie Jo (Stanfield) Bradford on Sept. 11, 1954. Benny loved to hunt fish and play golf. He especially loved his Braves. Benny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Arlie Bradford and Farrel Bradford as well as one grandson, Branon Bradford. He is survived by his wife Billie; one son, Joey Bradford (Alisa); one daughter, Kathy Morrison (Alex); and one brother, Fred Bradford. The grandchildren include Ben Bradford (Lindsay), Bert Bradford, Bret Bradford, Alisabeth Bradford and Katie Rosser (Bobby) and Brad Debord (Sarah) along with six great-grandchildren that include Ryan Bradford, Jesse Bradford, Max Bradford, Hannah Rosser, Holly Rosser and Hunter Rosser. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Todd Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow at LaFayette City Cemetery.
