Spencer Abercrombie

Spencer A. "Spud" Abercrombie, 89, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from the L&N Railroad, and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Abercrombie; daughters, Shelly Galloway, Stella Gill and Barbara Nelson; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Advantage Chapel. Burial to follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens West with Military Honors.
