Annette Holland

Ruth Annette Holland, 70, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at a local hospital. Annette was a resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area for 14 years and member of the Church of the Nativity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Martha Thomas; and brothers, Glenn and Larry Thomas. Annette is survived by husband of 49 years, Hollis Holland; daughters, Tanya (Phil Surkis) Holland, Oakland, Calif., Janelle Holland, Hixson; brother, Don Norwood Thomas, Alaska; sisers, Maxime Jones, Detroit, Mich., Essie Coleman, Shreveport, La., Martha Raye Mateen, San Diego, Calif.; and grandchild, Lyric Holland. A memorial service will take place 10 a.m. Friday, at the Church of the Nativity, Fort Oglethorpe, with the Rev. King Oehmig officiating.
