Viola Hamilton

Viola Nettie Wooten Hamilton, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2015. She was born to the late Leroy A. and Rosetta Reeves Wooten in Dekalb, Co. Ala., before moving to Chickamauga at a young age. Nettie retired from Synthetic in 1993 after 20 yrs. and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. Nettie was also preceded in death by her husband, Winford Hamilton; and son, Steve Hamilton. She is survived by her children, Roger Hamilton, Leon Hamilton, Marty Hamilton, Vickie Hamilton, all of Chickamauga and Patricia Hamilton, of Crossville, Tenn.; sister Jean Martin, of Woodville, Ala.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2015 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service time today. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
