Gladys Knox

Gladys Trent Knox, died on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles Knox and the Rev. B.E. Trent. Gladys helped her husband, the late Rev. B.E. Trent, in the ministry of the Church of God for more than 30 years before his death in 1969. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sybil Trent Land; sons, James Ronald Trent and John William Trent. Survivors include her daughter, Ruthie (Lee) Russell, of Tracy City; three sons, Roy Edward (Shirley) Trent, of Chattanooga, David (Patricia) Trent, of Hixson and Robert (Glenda) Trent, of Soddy-Daisy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one sister, Jessie Sinclair, of South Carolina; many friends and loved ones. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 30, 2015, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Harvey Turner and Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation today from 11 a.m.1 p.m. at the funeral home.
