Mary Lillias Garretson LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN Mary Lillias Garretson, 104, passed away on June 24, 2015. She was born in Oklahoma City on Oct. 5, 1910, but resided most of her life in Atlanta. She was a graduate of Agnes Scott College. In the 1930s, Mary Lillias was director of community theatre productions in the Northeast and then moved to Washington, D.C. where she was employed by the Departments of Agriculture and Labor. In the 1940s, she returned to Atlanta where she became a real estate broker and had her own realty company until her retirement to Lookout Mountain. She was preceded in death by parents, Percy and Lillias Painter Garretson; sisters, Margaret Ford, Irene Nichols, and Alice Bolles; infant brother, Merwyn Garretson; and niece, Margaret Grigg. Mary Lillias is survived by nieces, Nicky Ozbek, Alice Economy, Joan Bolles and Lynne Horner; nephew, Hamilton Bolles; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Interment was held 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
