Donna F. Byrd, 56, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and attended Noble Fellowship Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Bill Byrd; and a son, Monty Veal, Soddy-Daisy, and a stepson, Jeff Byrd, East Ridge; a daughter, Monica Gitgood, Chickamauga; and a stepdaughter, Leann McConethy, Rock Spring; three brothers, Lowell Poteet, Chickamauga, Tommy Poteet, Ringgold, and Randy Poteet, Bluefield, Nicaragua; and four sisters, Geraldean Stokes, Harrison, Barbara Hamill, Ringgold, Sandra Miles, Chattanooga and Wanda Renolds, Ringgold; and nine grandchildren.
