Earl Presley

William Earl Presley, 93, of Apison, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. A lifelong resident of Apison, he was the son of the late Ossie and Dora Presley. Earl was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He retired from Quaker Oats with 33 years of service. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florene Presley; two daughters, Pamela K. Presley and Shirley W. Boring; grandson, Michael E. Boring; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Ricky) Teague and Sandra (James) Walker, all of Apison; son, Millard E. (Robbie) Presley, Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jesse Cochran, Apison, and Mary Tillman, Ringgold; brother, Harrell Presley, Ringgold. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment will be in Plowman Cemetery.
