Faye Alley

Faye Jones Alley, 89, died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at her residence. Born in Liberty Hill in Grainger County, Tenn., she was a lifelong resident of Spring City. Faye was the daughter of the late C.K. and Velma Moyers Jones. She was a graduate of Spring City High School and a member of the Peninne Baptist Church. Faye retired from Kayser-Roth Corp. after 15 years and continued to work as the manager of the greenhouse that was located beside the Peninne Farm Supply. She was an accomplished seamstress and also loved to send greeting cards for every occasion to her family and friends. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Bally" Alley; and her brothers, Danny, Elmer, Henry, Howard and Eddie Jones. Survivors include her daughters, Janie (Bobby) Beasley of Harriman and Gale (Kent) Sheppard of Spring City; sisters, Mary (Kineard) Hill of Spring City and Martha (Morgan) Hood of Dayton; grandchildren, Bo (Elizabeth) Beasley of Michigan, Bubba (Nancy) Beasley of Atlanta, Ga., Carrie (Joshua Webb) Sheppard of Blountville, Tenn., and Sarah (Jared) Bahner of Austin, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Spencer, Hayden and Adair Beasley and Finley Bahner; and many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at 4 p.m. today, July 26, 2015, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Darwin Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Fayes favorite charity, the St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
