Dessie Elizabeth Ladd Atkins, 93, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Survivors include son, Mike Atkins; grandchildren, Tonia Beavers, Doug (Heather) Atkins, Danielle (Venkat) Atkins; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Beavers, Jessica Beavers, Chole Atkins and Callie Atkins. Mrs. Atkins was a member of Bryant Baptist Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thyle and Helen Evelyn Chadwick Ladd; husband, Henry Atkins; great-grandson, Conner Atkins; sisters, Donna Ladd Vineyard, Annie Lou Wilson, Margie Ladd; brothers, Pershing, David "Dee", Carl, Grady, Roy, John, Bill Albert and Benjamin Ladd. Funeral services are Saturday at 1 p.m. CST at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Brother Wayne Winters and Brother Rick Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Fuller cemetery.
