Wayman Davenport

Wayman Eldred "Butterball" Davenport, 65, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. He attended school at Howard High School. He joined the United States Army and served tour of duty in Vietnam where he received several medals of Honor. He was formerly employed at the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Callie and Clarence Davenport; brother, Calvin Lebron Davenport Sr.; nephew Dale Anderson; niece, Queena Davenport; and great-nephew, Quatavious Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Phyllis Diane (David) McKnight, Chattanooga; two brothers, Gregory Davenport, Murfreesboro and Michael Davenport, Chattanooga. Funeral services noon Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment in National Cemetery. Arrangements by John P.
