Sybil Henley

Sybil Lee Partin Henley, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2015. Sybil grew up in Pelham, Tenn., but lived in Chattanooga during her later life, where she spent time with her children and grandchildren. Her warm and caring nature made her a loving homemaker for her family. Sybil enjoyed the years she spent going to college and substitute teaching elementary school children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Emma Partin; her infant son, Stratton Kilgore; and her grandson, Trae Bean. Her survivors include her daughter, Laura Bean; son, Nash (Chastity) Bean; sister, Barbara Landrum; twin brother, Quentin (Wanda) Partin; grandchildren, Farrah, Nick, Tim, Tristan, Cameron and Evan Bean; nephews and nieces, Mike (Kim) Partin, Susan Partin, Cindy (Randall) Gilliam and Joanna (Bruce) Landrum. Sybil was a devout Christian who loved sharing the word of God with others. She spent her later years at Life Care Center of Hixson, where she enjoyed leading bible study and prayer meetings. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends for visitation today from 5-9 p.m. EST. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST this Saturday. Burial will be in Warren Cemetery in Pelham, Tenn. Condolences may be made online at www.cumberlandfuneralhome.net.
