Michelle King

Laura Michelle King, 47, passed away suddenly at home April 30, 2015. She was a selfless woman and a stay-at-home mother of two sons whose own wants and needs came second to her children and family. Always protective of the ones she loved, Michelle was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was her husbands soulmate and best friend for more than 29 years. Her laughter, wittiness, and vibrant personality was not only the highlight of every family gathering, it was the thread that kept us tied together. The loss of our beloved Michelle has left a void in our lives that can only be filled with the lessons of love and devotion she taught us all. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell McClure. Survived by her husband, Darrell King; sons, Tucker and Chris King; granddaughters, Madison and Jaycee King, Lexi and Megan Potter; parents, Bob and Mickey McClure; brother, Tim McClure; niece, Emily McClure; dear friend Ann Smith; and many extended family members and friends. The family will receive friend today, May 4, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 5, from noon-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Homes North Chapel. Graveside service for Michelle will be conducted on Tuesday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
