William C. "Cotton" Dempsey 74, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Prudy Dempsey; brothers, Johnny Dempsey, Howard Dempsey, Robert Dempsey; sisters, Corine Rheal, Pauline Castle. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 54 years, Mary L. Dempsey; two children, Randell Lee (Donna) Dempsey, William Dennis (Denise) Dempsey; sister, Lorene Dempsey, all of Whitwell; grandchildren, Patricia Dempsey, Austin Blake Dempsey, Clayton Dempsey, Karleigh Dempsey. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. today, May 22, 2015; noon-8 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Dennis Brandon officiating. Interment at Brock Cemetery.
