Peggy Harmon

Peggy Joan Vaughn Harmon, 65, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015. She has been a resident of Chickamauga for most of her life and was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from WTS Media in 2011 after nine years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, who will be greatly missed. Peggy was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Turner and Brenda Barrett, and brothers, Red Lacey, David Vaughn, Bill Vaughn and Doyle Vaughn. She is survived by her loving husband, of 48 years, Sammy Harmon; children, Angie (Arnold) Van Pelt, Lori (Mark) Bond and Scott (Mandy) Harmon; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Old Bethel Baptist Church, Chickamauga, with Rev. Steve Camp and Rev. Wilton Grimes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and prior to leaving for the church on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
