Jeremy Wallin

LaFAYETTE Jeremy Woods Wallin, 37, passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. Jeremy was born on Feb. 10, 1978. Jeremy graduated from LaFayette High School in 1996, and went on to join the United States Army as a Medic Soldier. After serving his country, Jeremy began his career as a public servant in the North Georgia Region. He was a fireman and paramedic for 13 years with the Walker County Fire Department and Hutcheson EMS. Jeremy went on to work with Floyd EMS and for the last 8 years with Redmond EMS in Rome, Ga. During his time with Redmond EMS , he established the Regional 1 Honor Guard Team and was Commander, he also worked with the Rome/Floyd County Swat Medic Team, and was a member of the Western Lodge #91 in LaFayette. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian Woods Wallin and Florence Virginia Woods Wallin; and aunt, Tammy K. Wallin. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Wallin, of LaFayette; one son, Brian Adriano of El Paso, Texas; aunt, Brenda Amos; cousin, Chris Amos both of LaFayette; brothers, Shane Pickard, of Chattanooga, and T.J. Pickard, of Cloudland, Ga.; his father, Mark Pickard of LaFayette also survive. Service will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center with Chaplain Billy Murdock officiating. Pallbearers are Courtney Hise, Chad Hughey, Dr. Lee Cline, David Young, Jeremy Cruse and Robert Early. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Brown, Skeet Gribble and the Rome/Floyd County Swat Team. Interment in the Arnold Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
