Alma Woodlee

Mrs. Alma Louise Woodlee, 90, of the Elkhead Community, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at the Willows in Winchester, Tenn. She was a member of the Elkhead Church of Christ. Mrs. Woodlee along with her husband Frank was a number one chicken grower for Dixie Home Feed and later Tyson many times starting in the late 60's. She also worked in several of the garment factories in the area. She was born in Coalmont, Tenn., June, 4, 1925 to Wilson and Lydia Scruggs Crabtree who preceded her in death along with her husband, Frank Woodlee; brother, Robert Wilson Crabtree; sisters, Martha Sue Brown and Ruby E. Winton. She is survived by her son, Harold (Amy) Woodlee, of Pelham; daughter, Nancy (Roger) Kilgore, Pelham; sister, Violet Anderson, Pelham; grandchildren, Suzzanne (Bruce) Brown, Marion, K., Charles D. Woodlee, Gallup, N.M., and Cory (Amy) Kilgore of Pelham; great-grandchildren, Kalea and Layla; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Ray Winton officiating with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
