Suzanne Adcock SOUTH PITTSBURG Suzanne Adcock, 74, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at her home in South Pittsburg, following an extended battle with cancer. A graduate of South Pittsburg High School, she attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville before going to work as a secretary for the Tennessee Valley Authority. During her working career, and continuing after her retirement, Suzanne participated in practically every civic activity South Pittsburg had to offer and devoted countless hours to her church Holly Avenue United Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Waymond and Clarice Inez ONeal Adcock; and nephew, H.W. "Tres" Adcock III. Suzanne is survived by two brothers: Harold W. "Buzz" (Sue) Adcock Jr. and Dr. C.R. (Lynn) Adcock, all of South Pittsburg; nieces and nephews: Dr. Rustan (Sarah) Adcock, Dr. Brandan (Heather) Adcock, and Allyn Adcock, all of Asheville, N.C., Tara Adcock of Nashville, and Alex (Kayla) Adcock, of South Pittsburg; great-nieces and nephews, Mancel Caldwell Adcock, Nolan James Adcock, Dahlia Jane Adcock and Rowan ONeal Adcock; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Central on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at Holly Avenue United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg. Interment will follow in Cumberland View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holly Avenue UMC or the South Pittsburg Lions Club or the Beene-Pearson Library.
