Rosie Sharp

Mamie Rosella "Rosie" Linam Sharp, 77, went home to be with The Lord Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. She was born in Hamilton County, Tenn., to the late Frank and Mae Massingale Linam. She had lived most of her life in Walker County and was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith. She was a former employee of Carron Yarn Mill and Walker County Board of Education where she worked in Janitorial Services. She enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains and cooking. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor Sharp; siblings, Grace Poore, Bertie Cantrell, Tom Linam, Bobby Linam, Avery Linam and Hershel Lowe. She is survived by her son, Mark Lamar Sharp, of Monroe, Ga.; granddaughters, Rebeca and Amber Sharp, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. and Thursday after 9 a.m. until the service. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, in the chapel with Reverends: Stacey Evans, Chris Holman and Arthur Cantrell officiating.
