Frances North

Frances Starr North, 84, Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. North Sr.; and their son Kevin Scott North. She was the daughter of the late Luther Johns Starr and Grace Heiskell Starr, of Athens, Tenn. She was a graduate of McMinn County High School and attended First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga. She is survived by son, Harold L. North Jr. (Teresa) and daughter, Amy Starr North, of Chattanooga and two grandsons, Harold L. "Tripp" North III, of Washington, DC. and Grant Gibson "Gib" North, of Chattanooga. She also leaves her sister, Ann Hunt (Don), of Englewood, Tenn., brother, Don Starr, of Chattanooga and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mary North, Maxine North, Dick North, Ben North (Mildred), all of Rossville; and several nieces and nephews. Tim Tinsley and Lewis Card Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 111 p.m. Wednesday, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
