James Thompson III

James Column Thompson III, 28, of Anniston, Ala., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015. He is a long time resident of Ringgold and recently moved to Anniston, to work as the lead Jiu Jitsu trainer and fitness instructor at The Evolution Health & Fitness. He is a graduate of Ringgold High School, Class of 2005. James is a loving son, brother, grandson, loyal friend and dedicated instructor, who will be missed by all that knew and loved him. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Betty Jean Thompson; grandfather, Raymond Coffman Jr.; great-grandmother, Betty Jo Brown; and uncle, Terry Wilson. James is survived by his loving parents, James and Lisa Thompson, of Ringgold; sisters, Jennifer Thompson, Kristine Thompson, and Brianna Thompson; brother, Matthew Thompson; grandmother, Ann Coffman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends and loved ones, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
