Alan Wooten

Alan Lamar Wooten, 59, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015. He graduated from Lakeview High School and was a lifelong resident of North Georgia. He had worked for BlueCross BlueShield for 37 years before retiring in 2011. Lamar loved music and had played for many bands, most recently playing the bass in The Boulevard Bards. He was preceded in death by his father, John Wooten Jr. Survivors include his mother, Margie Elleman, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; son, Christopher (Carrie) Wooten, of Hampstead, N.C.; and grandson, David Wooten. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
