Ann Talbott

Ann Barry Talbott, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Ann was a native of Louisville, Ky., and a graduate of Nazareth College now Spalding University in Louisville. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Chattanooga. Following her marriage in Kentucky in 1951, she and her husband moved to Chattanooga and remained here the rest of her life. Ann was the daughter of the late Thomas William and Mary Goering Barry of Louisville. After rearing her family, Mrs. Talbott went to work with Habitat for Humanity when it first formed here in Chattanooga and served as secretary/bookkeeper/ clerk through the years and became the office manager completing 20 years with the organization retiring in 2006. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Talbott Sr.; and her parents. Ann is survived by her five children, two daughters, Ann Barry (Robert) Greever, of Soddy-Daisy and Mary Goering (William) Barbee, of Cartersville, Ga.; three sons, Charles (Michelle) Talbott, of Gallatin Tenn., Thomas Talbott, Chattanooga, and Ben Johnson (Debra) Talbott, of Newport News Va.; one sister, Dorothy Lee Krusenklaus; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today, Sept. 4, 2015, at St. Jude Catholic Church Visitation with the family will be today, Sept. 4, from 10:3012:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel. Private interment will be at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to St. Jude Catholic Church-Building Fund.
