Tyna Blaylock

Tyna Moree Blaylock, 96, passed away Tuesday, Sept., 1, 2015. She was born on March 10, 1919 in Jackson County, Ala., to the late E.A. and Tula Walls. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga and was of the Baptist faith. She retired from Memorial Hospital after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Blaylock; and her sisters, Thelma Pace, Lois Walls, and Maydell Walls. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Joel) Blake; grandchildren, Thomas (Jill) Blake, and Tara (Dustin) Gasaway; great-grandchildren, Ellie Blake, and Dakota Gasaway; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her physicians for the great care she had during her life and to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care, kindness, and compassion during her last months. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today, Sept. 4, 2015, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Harold McClure officiating.
