Irene McCormick

Irene McCormick, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank. Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John W. McCormick; parents, Elbert and Emma Elswick Fisher; three sisters, Verda Nuzum, Ellen Rhea and Dorothy Nichols. Survivors include two sons, John W. (Jacqueline) McCormick and David N. (Dianne) McCormick; one daughter, Joan F. Winkler; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, with Rev. Dwight Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 1 to 2p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
