Pearl Whaley

Pearl Stubblefield Whaley, 101, of East Ridge, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. She and her husband, Frank Whaley were founding members of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Pearl was a member of the Pioneer Sunday School Class and the Gleaners Circle and was involved in various activities in the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Whaley; three brothers, Earl Stubblefield, Everett Stubblefield, Sam Stubblefield; three sisters, Ardith Hilton, Evelyn Garrett and Christine Hollingsworth. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Don Angland; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Eric Rieger officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
