Pete Riddle

Pete "Bill" Riddle TRENTON Pete M. "Bill" Riddle, 57, born Sept. 17, 1948, as a native of Trenton, Ga., and resident of New Iberia, La., for 37 years, died Tuesday evening, April 26, 2016. Bill was a very loving person and was loved by many. He was an outstanding father, brother, uncle and the best poppie, to all of his grandchildren. He was also a best friend to all of those he loved and never let anyone down, when they needed his help. Bill loved to go fishing and was always ready to have a cookout for friends and family. He was always laughing and joking around with everyone. He was also a huge Alabama Football fan and the term "Roll Tide", brought him great joy. Bill will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. Mr. Riddle was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Edward Riddle, Sr. and Annie Mae Russell; and brother, John Thomas Riddle. Surviving include his wife, Elizabeth G. Riddle, of 35 years; children, Michelle Solar and husband, Robert, Shawn Lirette and wife, Cindy, Wendy Lirette, Travis Riddle and fianc Tonia Turner; grandchildren, Shontelle Solar, Robbie Solar, Kayla Solar, Ethan Lirette, Hannah Dore, Emma Potier, and Audrey Mae Riddle; great-grandsons, Kaden Solar and Gabe Castille; one brother, Lee (Liz) Edward Riddle, Jr.; sisters, Rosie (Lavon) Robinson and Genevieve (Perry) Payne; also several nieces; and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, in the chapel, with Pastor David Smith officiating. Mr Riddle will be laid to rest in Browns Gap Cemetery, by pallbearers Travis Riddle, Shawn Lirette, Tommy Riddle, Donavin Riddle, Robbie Solar, Sanders Castille, and Bud Duhon.
