Rayburn Henderson

Rayburn Ormand Henderson, 87, passed away April 26, 2016. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of Glendale Church of Christ, where he served as song leader for many years. He served his country in the Coast Guard for three years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Henderson; and second wife, Christine Henderson; parents, Floyd and Dessie Henderson; sister, Jean Robinson; and brothers, Sayman Henderson and Cleburne Henderson. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Carl) Heino; stepdaughter, Glenda Smith; son, Phillip Aaron (Betty) Henderson; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Cleland, Brenda Dawson, Wanda Wilborn, and Linda Henderson; brothers, Don Henderson, Houston Henderson, Jr., Auburn Henderson, and Orison Henderson; nieces; nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., EDT Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Minister Daryel Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., EDT; Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., EDT. Full military services, will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
