Tiny Martin

Tiny T. Martin LaFAYETTE Tiny Trammell Martin, 96, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016. She was born Dec. 10, 1919, in Walker County, to Capers B. Trammell and Sudie Hollis Trammell. Tiny was employed for 40 years with the Walker County Health Department and Walker County Agent Office. After retirement, Mrs. Martin was involved with the Chattanooga Valley Homemakers Club and Senior Neighbors and she attended Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Martin. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James Ray (Sharon) Martin; two grandsons, James Raymond (Ginger) Martin, of LaFayette, and Aaron D. (Christi) Martin, of Dalton; five great-granddaughters, McKennah, Macy, Aubrey and Natalie Martin and Kayleigh Jones; a special foster grandson Bernie Reece; and his daughter, Ashton; one brother, James Edward Trammell, of LaFayette. Services will be held in Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Bob Lower officiating. Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Paul Martin, John, Philip and Howard Bartlett, James Burton and James Ulrich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church, 29 Gordon Lake Rd. LaFayette, Ga. 30728. Visitation will be at the funeral home today, Aug. 27, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
