Bailey Payne

Bailey Eugene Payne, 82, of Hixson died Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born in the Roddy Community, he was the son of the late Ted and Nola McDaniel Payne. He was a graduate of Spring City High School. Bailey worked for DuPont for 38 years and retired in 1991. He was a member of the Lupton Drive Baptist Church. Bailey was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Lynn Payne and Bailey Eugene Payne Jr.; and his brother, Alvin Payne. Survivors include his sisters, Beulah Spurling, of Rockwood, Tenn., and Anna (Bobby) Grindle, of Hixson; nieces and nephews, Tim, Alicia, Tonda and Sam; and friend, Willene. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Rodger Dehart officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, Tennessee.
