Ferrell Kearney

Ferrell Frank Kearney, Th.D Ferrell Frank Kearney, Th.D, 81, of Harrison, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016. Missionary-pastor Ferrell and wife, Barbara have served with B.I.M.I. for 50 years in Iceland, England and Wales. Ferrell was born in Silsbee, Texas, on March 28, 1935, but grew up in Wisconsin, graduating from Lodi High School in 1953. He graduated from Tennessee Temple College in 1961 and Tennessee Temple Seminary in 1966. He was a serving member at Lakewood Baptist Church in Harrison, in capacity of Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Missions Staff. At the time of his death, he was on a three month mission trip as interim Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Craig, AK. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis; sisters, Frances Henderson and Beverly Christofferson Zimmerman; and brothers, Kenny and Richard Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Sedbrook Kearney; son, Lee, of Juneau, AK.; daughter-in-law, Lori; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Teague; and brothers, Robert and Philip Kearney. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Pastor Ronnie Gilbert and Dr. James Ray will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. in the church. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements are by Covenant Funeral & Crematory; Crox family owned and operated, www.CovenantFuneral.com.
