LeVander Green

USAF MSGT (Ret) Major LeVander Green, 73, of Chattanooga, was born on Jan. 18, 1943, and passed away on Dec. 14, 2016. Mr. Green retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1981 after 21 years of service and also from the State of Tennessee after 13 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Martin Green Sr. and Mable Brown, stepfather, Enos Brown. He is survived by his only child, daughter, Miyoshi M. McGravey (Patrick), Gulfport, Miss.; three grandchildren, USMC CPL Antonio J. McGravey,(Frandon), Okinawa, Japan, Mary E. MCGravey and Kendrell P. McGravey, both of Gulfport Miss.; two great-grandchildren, Autumn R and Lyric M. McGravey, both of Okinawa, Japan; brothers, Martin L. Green Jr. (Phillis), Smyma, Del.; Marvin L. Green, New York, N.Y., Marshel L. Greene, Kissimmee, Fla., Milton L. Green Sr., Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Murphy L. Green (Verlinda), Harrison, Tenn., Maurice L. Green, Newport News, Va., and John Brown (Barbara), Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Mattie L. Fowlkes, Mable L. Baker, Mary L. Baker (Oliver), Maude L. Hambright, and Edith Kight, all of Chattanooga; as well as dozens of loving nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
