Anna Haney

CHICKAMAUGA — Anna Lee Haney, 19, went home to be with Jesus for His birthday on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016. Anna was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and had been a lifelong resident of Chickamauga, Ga. She graduated from Gordon Lee High School – class of 2015, and was a member of the FFA and FCA. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and going horseback riding. She loved animals of all kinds, especially cats. She was very loyal to her family and friends, who she loved spending time with and was known for her laughter. Anna had been a true warrior battling cancer for over a year and was often the one who encouraged others during her time of battle. She was preceded in death by her mother, Stephanie Jane Lee Haney and her aunt, Judy Queen. She is survived by her best friend and father, Rusty (Cindy) Haney, of Chickamauga; grandparents, Donald Lee and Linda Gail Haney, of Chickamauga, Raymond “Bobo” Lee, of LaFayette, Ga., Ava Lee, of Rock Spring, Ga.; great-grandmother, Erma Jean Wiley, of Chickamauga; fiancée, Patrick Green, of Ringgold, Ga.; siblings, Mattie Jade Haney, Jennifer Vanco, Katlyn Carlton, Matt Bowers, all of Chickamauga; uncles, Jerry (Rachel) Haney, of IL, Micheal (Lori) Haney, Randy (Michelle) Haney, all of Chickamauga, Tom Lee, of Ringgold, Ga.; aunt, Serena Lee, of LaFayette, Ga.; nieces, Jayda, Lexie; nephews, Eli, Brenden, Cameron and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends today from 3 to 9 p.m. and all day Friday and Saturday morning before the funeral. Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at Covenant Life Worship Center with Ministers: Dennis Chambers, Bob Cheli and Jamie Chant officiating. Burial will follow at Chickamauga Cemetery.
