Jean Ellis

Jean Ray Ellis, 84, of Signal Mountain, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at her home. She was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Chattanooga to the late Ray Lester Ray and Maggie Jewell Jackson Ray. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. David Ellis. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a volunteer with Memorial Hospital Northpark for 10 years. Mrs. Ellis loved to go shopping and to bowl. Survivors include sons, Mike and Rick Ellis; daughter-in-law, Ginger Ellis; grandsons, Michael (Stacy) Ellis, Hunter Ellis, and Nick Ellis; great grandson, Will Ellis; sister, Judy (Wayne) Morgan; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
