Alfred Porter

Alfred E. Porter, 69, entered into eternal rest on Feb. 8, 2016. He attended Riverside High School. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Willie Mae and James Terrell; father, Willie Ed Porter; aunt, Cora Williams; brother, Roger Porter; sisters, Etora Porter and Norma McAfee; and granddaughter, Jovida Gantt. Surviving by two daughters, Ziva D. Gantt Watts, of Chattanooga; Regina Austin, of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Stephen Hill, Theodore (Tiffany) Sanders, of Chattanooga; Yolanda Goodwin, BreAnn and Antowne Austin, of Atlanta, Ga.; seventeen great-grandchildren; four devoted great great-grandchildren, De Aundra, Jamaya and Gabrelle Gant, Theodore Sanders; brothers, Lawrence (Shirley) Porter, of Dayton, Ohio; Marvin Dan Porter, of Calif.; sister, Constance Smith, of Anchorage, Ak.; two devoted nieces, Brezzell Harris; caregiver, Velma Union; dear friends, Freddie Ellison, William Shell, T. Russell and Kwasi Sublette. A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 4401 Ohls Avenue, with Elder Delford L.
