Hazel Buffington

Hazel Lord Buffington, 92, passed away Thursday Feb. 11, 2016, at her home. Hazel was a life-long resident of North Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed animals and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Royden Lord and Mary Edna Nelson; her loving husband, Ralph M. Buffington Sr.; and son, Ralph M. Buffington Jr. Survivors include her son, Steve (JoAnne) Buffington, of Cartersville, Ga.; grandchildren, Trey Buffington, Brandon (Ronda) Satterfield, Ryan (Lindsey) Buffington, Kate Buffington, and Maggie Buffington; four great-grandchildren; along with several nieces; and nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with Rev. Steve Wells officiating. Visit www.heritagebattlefield.com to share condolences.
