Louise Cohen

Louise Cohen, 86, loved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away Feb. 8, 2016. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Samuel and Sarah Dubin, and lived most of her life there and in other parts of southeast Pennsylvania. She moved to Signal Mountain in 2011 to reside at Alexian Village with her husband, Leonard Cohen, who died that same year. She was preceded by her son, Alan Cohen. She is survived by her son, Bob (Capi) Cohen, of Ooltewah; two grandchildren, Matthew (Christine) Cohen, of Andover, N.J., and Rachel Cohen, of Winter Park, Fla.; two great grandchildren; and her sister, Bernice "Dubie" Brown, of Chappaqua, N.Y. Donations may be made in her memory to Alexian Village of Tennessee, 437 Alexian Way, Signal Mountain, TN 37377, and should be designated for the Mary Jane Spittler Health Care Scholarship Fund, a fund which grants scholarships to those who are pursuing nursing education.
