Pearl Lindsey

Pearl Alberdean Lindsey, 63, departed this life on March 4, 2016, in a local hospital. She was born on March 15, 1952. Pearl was a member of the Worlds Church of the Living God. She was the daughter of Ethel Johnson and the late Willie Johnson. A 1969 graduate of Riverside High School, she was well established in the Performing Arts Community. Best known for her acting in The Wiz and A Raisin In The Sun. She was also an outstanding play writer and director. She produced multiple plays at The Little Theatre, Barking Legs and Chattanooga State Theatre. She was preceded in death by husband, Milton Lindsey; her sister, Marsha Johnson; and her brother, Larry Johnson. She is survived by three sons, Anthony Hudson, Larry (Maranda) Hudson Jr., and Brandon Lindsey; mother, Ethel Johnson; brother, Marcus Johnson; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pearl will be sorely missed by all who love her and enjoy the warmth of her big personality. The family will receive family and friends, from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. today, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
