Haskell Babb

Haskell "Bud" Babb GREENVILLE Haskell "Bud" Lee Babb, 86, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from working with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He is survived by his wife Barbara Cannon Babb; children, John and Mary Babb, Rose and Charles Carroll, Tammy and Melvin Abbott, and Jona and Chris Kinsey, all of Georgia. Curtis and Teresa Babb, of Greeneville, Kim Cannon, of Bean Station, and Shelia and Perry Houston, of Telford. Brothers include, Ray and Thelma Babb, Bobby and Sandra Babb, all of Greeneville, Ken and Nancy Babb, of Georgia, and sister Ellen Taylor, of Greeneville. Grandchildren include Candace and Lucas Wiggin, Casey Babb, Benny Carroll, Kayla Tinker, Cody and Dylan Abbott, Greg Cannon, Tanna and Don Stansfield II and Geordyn , Jeremy, and Logann Houston. Great-grandchildren include, Hailey and Katelynn Carroll, Samuel and Riley Kinsey, Lucas Quarles, Elias Painter, Trent and Kailey Cannon and Don Stansfield III. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Barney and Lucy Babb; wife, Betty Jean Babb; brothers, Fred and Mildred Babb, Reece Babb, Jack and Ann Babb, Curtis Babb, Ralph and Georgia Babb; and sisters, Velma and Glen Smith and Frances Brown. He was a member of Eastside Independent Baptist Church of Greeneville. Visitation will be held at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Horse Creek Church of God Cemetery. Dr. David Fox and Dr. Jerry Mullendore will officiate. Pallbearers include Benny Carroll, Casey Babb, Greg Cannon, Jeremy Houston, Don Stansfield II, and Lucas Wiggin. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Kevin Toppenburg, staff of Caris Hospice, Justin Saylor, Darrell Wilcox, Chad Dalton, friends and church family.
