Dennis Gilbert

FORT OGLETHORPE — Dennis W. Gilbert, 66, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Chattanooga Hospice. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Kathleen Gilbert; and sister, Agnes Bartlett. He attended Fort Oglethorpe Church of Christ. He was married to Wanda Stanley Gilbert for 47 years, as of Dec. 19. He was a wonderful husband, father, papa and brother. Survivors include his sons, Chris and Craig Gilbert, of Ringgold, Ga.; four grandchildren, Austin Gilbert, Alyssa Gilbert, Jada Gilbert and Ty Gilbert; sisters, Robbie Shipman and Linda Panter, of Ringgold, Ga. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Stanley Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Ga.
