Ronald Newman

WACO — Ronald Fred Newman, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Tanner Medical Center, of Carrollton Ga. He was born in Boaz, Ala., Feb. 3, 1944. He was preceded in death by Fred Garner, his natural father; his parents, Oscar William Newman and Adelle Brown Newman. He was a longtime resident, of Chattanooga, and attended St. John United Methodist Church before moving to his hometown, of Waco, Ga. He retired from the clothing industry as a sales rep, and was well loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Elder Newman; children, Chad (Stacey) Newman; Cheryl (John) Cooper; Alison Newman Pate; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Freida (Larry) Miller; Rebecca (Vince) Cammarata; Teresa (Doug) Roles. The family will receive friends at Hightower Funeral Home, Bremen, Ga. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., with services at 3 p.m., in the Chapel of the funeral home.
