Sarah Eaton

Sarah Adell Eaton, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, in a local hospital. She was a native of Chattanooga and was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. H. Sands; and mother, Dorothy Sands Poe. Sarah retired from Erlanger Hospital, where she worked in the Outpatient Clinic. She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Winston "Lamar" Eaton, of Chattanooga; two sons, Robert L. Eaton, of Winston Salem, N.C., Derrick L. (Janet) Eaton, of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Sisk, Cooper L. Eaton; sister, Louise Goins, of Chattanooga, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., today, at the funeral home.
