Herbert Sherman Mathews, age 46 passed away, Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at his residence. Survivors include his loving companion of 25 years, Donna Price; parents, Herbert and Rachel Parker Mathews; son, Sherman Tyler Mathews, of Chattanooga; daughters, Shana (Vincent) Perkins, of Trenton, Ga., and Heather (Jeff) Nelson, of Rising Fawn, Ga.; brothers, Perry Mathews and Stacy Mathews, both of Rising Fawn, Ga., and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m,. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, in the Chapel, of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother David Hale officiating. Burial will be held in Ascalon Cemetery.
