Jo Davis

Virginia Josephine Davis, 85, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at her home. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Davis, Sr.; parents, Sim and Mattie Shadrick Rogers; children, James Floyd Davis, Jr., Chris William Davis, Charlotte Ann Davis; siblings, James Rogers, Faye Bagely, and Beulah Mae Ferguson; and a granddaughter, Sandra Kay Wood. Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Bobby (KayDean) Davis and Sammy (Donna) Davis; daughters, Mary Thomas, and Daisy Sisk; sisters, Rita Williams, Rachel Freels and Joyce Hudson; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., CDT, on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, with Bro. Jim Richardson officiating.
